About Me

I’m a Master’s student in Computer Engineering at NYU Tandon, building production-grade systems at the intersection of Machine Learning, Software Development, and Cloud. I like turning ambiguous problems into measurable wins—clean APIs, reliable data pipelines, and dashboards that make performance visible.

Most recently at McKinsey & Company (MIO Partners), I designed a serverless data lake on AWS (S3 + Glue + Apache Iceberg + Athena/Parquet) that cut an Excel-extract workflow by 58% and delivered 1.4–3.3× speedups over the previous SQL path, with latency drops of ~70%.

Previously at Cimpress India, I built and scaled B2B pricing services on AWS, optimizing APIs to sustain 30–50k RPM and improving reliability through CI/CD, observability, and cross-functional collaboration.

Experience

McKinsey & Company (MIO Partners)

Software Engineer Intern – Data Engineering

- Designed a serverless data lake on Amazon S3 using AWS Glue, Apache Iceberg, and Athena (Presto) with Parquet storage.
- Cut an Excel-based extract workflow runtime by 58% (95.5s → 40.0s) and reduced data-field fetch latency by ~70%; achieved 1.4–3.3× speedups over the prior SQL path.
- Built ETL jobs (PySpark/Glue) with partitioning on as_of_date; authored CTAS queries and added data-quality checks.
- Wrote the performance study and proposed caching and S3 table layout improvements to scale adoption.
- Shipped production-ready code with FastAPI services, CI/CD (GitHub Actions), and observability via CloudWatch/Prometheus.

Cimpress Technologies

Software Engineer 1

- Managed both backend and frontend development for B2B pricing services, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.
- Led cloud deployments to ensure seamless integration and functionality, utilizing platforms such as AWS.
- Delivered new features by coding and deploying enhancements to products, focusing on user experience and performance optimization.
- Scaled APIs to handle a request per minute (RPM) rate of 30-50k, implementing efficient load balancing and caching strategies.
- Collaborated with cross-functional teams, including product management, UX/UI design, and QA, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Conducted code reviews and provided mentorship to junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Implemented CI/CD pipelines to streamline the development and deployment process, reducing release cycles and improving productivity.
- Monitored and optimized application performance, using tools like New Relic to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
- Ensured compliance with industry standards and best practices, including security protocols and data privacy regulations.
- Participated in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, contributing to effective project management and delivery.

Apple Developers Group (ADG-VIT)

Technical Advisor

Led and managed web development projects for the club, overseeing a team of approximately 30 sophomores and 60 freshmen within the web development domain. Organized and conducted internal training sessions to equip team members with essential skills, foster collaboration, and ensure consistent project quality. Guided the team through project lifecycles, from initial planning to deployment, while promoting best practices and innovative problem-solving.

Applutions Softech Pvt Ltd

Backend Developer Intern

- Spearheaded the backend development for Trailer 2 Y ou, a trailer-booking app akin to Uber; deployed on a small scale in Australia while optimizing user engagement through scalable and robust architecture that handled high traffic.
- Optimized backend performance by implementing efficient database structures using MongoDB, reducing data retrieval times by 20%, ensuring smooth real-time user interactions.
- Configured load balancers alongside auto-scaling groups on A WS infrastructure that sustained operational efficiency leading up to processing requests at rates exceeding 10k per minute without significant lag or failures.
- Containerized and deployed the application using Docker, streamlining the development workflow and ensuring consistent performance across development, staging, and production environments.

T2Y - Trailer to you

Trailer 2 You is a trailer booking app operating similarly to Uber, tailored specifically for trailers, and currently deployed on a small scale in Australia (under testing). As a backend developer, I contributed to building robust functionalities catering to diverse user roles. Customers can book trailers with options to update, reschedule, extend, or cancel bookings, track deliveries live, and receive notifications about booking statuses. Licensees can manage employees with custom access controls, oversee trailer statuses, rate users, and perform CRUD operations on trailers and upsell items. Licensee employees handle assigned tasks like trailer delivery and profile updates, while admins, as super-users, monitor transactions, process payments, and manage refunds. The application ensures accessibility across web, Android, and iOS platforms, delivering a seamless and efficient user experience.
